District 711 started an Apprenticeship Program, BASIC (Building Apprenticeship Skills in Communities) The International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers District Lodge 711 Apprenticeship Program located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and it is being held at Northwest Shoals Community College.  Our first group of 10 (The Inaugural Ten) started in March 2019.   The Second Class will started in January 2020 at Northwest Shoals Community College.

We are working on setting up other Apprenticeship Programs in other areas of the State of Tennessee aimed at different occupations.
